I also write about interaction design. And I design a logo from time to time.
But mostly, I make websites. I focus on the human beings who use these sites, creating interactions that are not only intuitive and efficient, but pleasant… so these people keep coming back, which is what you want. Right?
These sites are also easy on the human beings who have to manage, extend, and maintain them. The process starts with exhaustive planning, so that we anticipate changes and additions down the road. When it’s time to code, I’m obsessive about keeping things tidy. I’ve even built custom Content Management Systems for clients who update content frequently.
I’m committed to honest and open business practices. This means that I won’t take on work that I can’t do. It means I respect deadlines. It means that I communicate clearly and frequently the status of any project I’m working on. It means that I only do work with organizations whose work I respect. And it means that I expect all of the same from my clients.
